As reviewed on Yelp - 8/28/2022 If you've not been to The Burnt Tongue, you're missing out! With their 4 locations in Hamilton and Dundas area, you can easily find one that's convenient for you. I have been to the one on Locke Street and Westdale Village. Their food is on the lighter/healthier side--from soups to sandwiches to burgers, salads and fries, are incredible! I've had a variety of their soups, like chicken tortilla soup, creamy tomato & tortellini soup, creamy chicken wild rice & roasted mushroom soup. Like everything else I've had, their halloumi burger and single classic burger with cheese were prepared to perfection. While it's in season, try their baby arugula watermelon salad with feta. With a team of excellent staff, it is evident that they put a lot of care into what they serve and the service they provide! When you go, tip them well! They've earned it!

We went yesterday to the one at King street! The soups were AMAZING and the customer service Excellent! Looking forward to come back... we tried 4 different soups all of them super good but my favorite was the creamy tomato and tortellini! The pesto sandwich was so good to! I hope we can have the burnt tongue on the GTA soon!

A small mainly take out place with some seating options inside and public tables outside. The food was delicious! Vegan and gluten-free options. Very healthy. Decent portions. The only disappointment is that you can have it only on disposable cartons, no ceramics, but the quality and taste of the food balanced this. I recommend this place and would love to come back myself.

NEW SET OF soup options EVERY DAY! Every single soup option is incredible, you will not go wrong with their soups. There were 7 options when we went. We got the roasted garlic potato leek and buffalo chicken! Recommend to complement the soup with the kale Caesar and the pesto tomato cheese sandwich! Free samples available!

If you're hesitant about having soup at a restaurant, this is a sign to do it. Everything we ordered tasted really good. I love that they let you taste a sample before you order as well, but it made things harder because everything we sampled was delicious. I would recommend a menu option which allows you to buy a 'soup flight', in which you can pick 3 different soups for example and get 3 small sized bowls.

Absolutely delicious! We went and enjoyed a couple different soups. They were the perfect temperature. We liked them so much we went back and tried some more a week later. It's early fall/late summer at the moment and there are lots of tables set up outside in the parking lot area. The staff are wonderful and will bring your meal outside if you are planning on eating there. Definitely reccomend trying!!

Peanut chicken satay soup is so delicious and filling! Surprisingly generous with the chicken. Every soup I’ve tried from here is delicious, including the classic tomato tortellini (paired with pesto grilled cheese), butternut squash, moroccan soup and their sausage tortellini. Comes with bun, apple, carrots, or crackers! Affordable and a must-try in Hamilton. Super cute interior as well! Edit: Caramelized onion grilled cheese is amazing! Cabbage roll soup is good, a bit salty. Creamy mushroom is incredible, super rich with a strong funghi flavour.
